BURWELL TRAFFIC SURVEY 2018
Burwell Parish Council is currently carrying out a Traffic Survey and we would like as many residents as possible to complete the survey either online or paper copy which can be found in the centre of the latest issue of Clunch and at locations throughout the village. Information collected from the survey will be used to inform Council of the traffic issues residents are concerned about. The Council will then look to see if there are any ways that the issues can be resolved or reduced. This will be done by working closely with the local Highways Authority who is responsible for the roads in the village. The closing date for responses is 31st March 2018. The Council's aim is to have the results available at the Annual Parish Meeting which will be held on Tuesday 1st May 2018, 7pm at Mandeville Hall. Parishioners will be given the opportunity during the meeting to discuss the results of the survey with members of the Council.
If you wish to complete the form online please follow the link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/H39F7PL

Following the consultation last year, the Cemetery Regulations have now been reviewed. The two main changes are that although it will remain a lawn cemetery, as it is now, there will be an opportunity to place plants and mementoes of your loved one, if wished, in an area of up to 18 inches in front of the gravestone. The second change is that the Exclusive Right of Burial will now be for 50 years (instead of 99 years) with an option to extend this time at a later date. A copy of the revised regulations is available on this website (under Cemetery), at the Jubilee Reading Room and on the Noticeboard at the Cemetery.
Dial-a-Ride - The monthly trip to Ely, on the first Thursday of the month will continue through out the year, although the service will now be provided by the Voluntary Network based in Newmarket. Seats can be booked by contacting the Voluntary Network on 01638 664304. You will need to be a member of the Voluntary Network, but they will give you the details about this when you book.
