All Office staff are now working from home and the Parish Council Office situated in the Jubilee Reading Room is closed. Post etc is being collected from the Office on a regular basis. Completed survey forms for the Consultation on Buses, Cycling and Walking being carried out by East Cambs District Council can continue to be posted through the door of the Jubilee Reading Room.

All Parish Council Play Areas at the Recreation Ground, Westhope, Jubilee Green and Margaret Field are closed.

The Tennis Courts, Outdoor Gym Equipment, Skate Park and the new Zip Wire are all closed.

All Parish Council Halls are closed for hire.

The toilets available for use by the public at the Recreation Ground and the Jubilee Reading Room are closed.


The Recreation Ground, Margaret Field, Jubilee Green open spaces, Spring Close, Priory Meadow and Pauline's Swamp currently remain open for daily exercise. All users must strictly follow Government guidelines on social distancing. 

The Cemetery is open. Please be aware of funerals taking place. All visitors must follow Government guidlines on social distancing.

All Parish Council meetings have been cancelled until further notice. On Monday 23rd March 2020 powers to enable the Council to continue functioning were delegated to the Parish Council Strategy Group and Parish Clerk. The Strategy Group will regularly meet virtually whilst the restrictions are in place. Details of the content of the meetings, including planning applications being considered can be found on our Meeting Information page. 

The Annual Parish Meeting on 5th May 2020 has been postponed.

The VE DAY Picnic on the Recreation Ground on 8th May 2020 has been cancelled.

The Community Road Safety Campaign 'Think Safe, Be Safe' due to be launched on 20th June 2020 has been postponed.

Planning Applications - It is not known how many applications will be received during the period. East Cambridgeshire District Council will not be sending out full sets of forms and plans to the Parish Council for the time being. Therefore if you wish to look at an application, you will need to look online using this link planning. The Parish Council Strategy Group will consider all applications received as a consultee. To find out which applications are being considered please look on our Meeting Information page. All comments should be made to the Parish Clerk by email.

Grass Cutting - The Grass Cutting Contractor is now cutting verges and open spaces if possible following strict government guidelines. Please note that due to restrictions, not all areas may be cut. The Parish Council handyman will continue to cut the grass at the Cemetery.
